Wurmkos
Il laboratorio di arti visive Wurmkos, fondato nel 1987 a Sesto San Giovanni, è un’esperienza “basagliana” che mette in relazione arte e disagio psichico senza porsi obiettivi di salvezza. Tutte le altre attività del gruppo, prendono parte e cooperano artisti, con disagio e non, critici e persone che partecipano alle molteplici azioni di nascita, crescita e sviluppo dei progetti.
Il progetto in corso Andare con le radici prende forma a partire dalla primavera del 2020 ed è il frutto di un percorso di autoriflessione e trasformazione che ha come soggetto in primo luogo le metodologie adottate dal gruppo stesso. In questo processo diviene un riferimento fondamentale la pratica del mutuo appoggio teorizzata dal pensatore militante Pëtr A. Kropotkin: spinta primaria che sta al centro di ogni forma di vita biologica e sociale, il mutuo appoggio si configura come una sorta di principio guida dell’evoluzione della vita sulla terra.
The Wurmkos visual arts workshop, founded in 1987 in Sesto San Giovanni, is a ‘Basaglian’ experience that relates art and psychic discomfort without setting itself goals of salvation. In the project presented at PAV, as in all the group’s other activities, artists, with and without discomfort, critics and people take part and cooperate in the multiple actions of birth, growth and development of the projects. Andare con le radici takes shape from the spring of 2020 and is the result of a process of self-reflection and transformation that has as its subject primarily the methodologies adopted by the group itself. In this process, the practice of mutual support theorised by the militant thinker Pyotr A. Kropotkin becomes a fundamental reference: the primary drive that lies at the heart of all forms of biological and social life, mutual support takes the form of a sort of guiding principle for the evolution of life on earth.
